Open a shared document

View a document the project team shared with you, and leave a note for them.

A project team can share individual documents with you, such as drawings, reports or specifications. You can open only what they have shared with you, plus anything you have submitted yourself.

Open a document

Find it on your home page

On your guest home, look under Shared with you.

Click the row

The document opens. The top of the page shows its code and revision, its title, and its Project, Type and the date it was last Updated.

Read the file

A PDF or an image shows on the page. Click Open above the file to view it in a new browser tab, where you can download or print it. Other kinds of file show This file cannot be previewed here — use Open.

Click Back to return to your home page.

A transmittal opens differently: instead of a file, you see its cover details and the list of documents it carries. See Receive a transmittal.

Leave a note for the team

Every shared document has a Notes section at the bottom of the page.

Write your note

Type in the box that reads Add a note for the project team….

Click Add

Your note is added to the document's notes, with your name and the time. The project team reads it on their side of Constecca.

The Notes section shows only the notes you wrote. The project team's own notes on the document, and notes from other guests, stay private to them.

Use a note to confirm you received something, to ask about it, or to point out a problem.

If a document is not available

If you follow a link to a document that has not been shared with you, the page shows Not available and explains why. Ask the project team to share it with you.
